International integration has been a significant policy and a consistent strategic direction of the Communist Party of Vietnam throughout the Doi Moi (Renovation) period (1986-2025). This represents a creative application of the lesson of combining national strength with the strength of the times, maximizing domestic resources while effectively leveraging external resources in the country's practical development. It is a process of inheritance, continuation, development, and supplementation in terms of understanding, thinking, and implementation roadmap, adapted to the domestic situation and the global context over time. The proactive and comprehensive international integration policy has contributed to enhancing Vietnam's potential, position, role, and prestige in the international arena. By clarifying the Party's policy on international integration (1986-2025), this article draws several conclusions, emphasizing that international integration plays a crucial role and has become a strategic driving force for Vietnam's development in the new era.
