This article aims to clarify Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts on revolutionary violence. It proposes several orientations for its application in national defense and security education for students in the current context. By employing the methods of document analysis, synthesis, and historical-logical approach, the study systematizes Ho Chi Minh’s fundamental viewpoints on the necessity, righteousness, and humanism of revolutionary violence in the struggle for national independence. The research results affirm the profound theoretical value and practical significance of Ho Chi Minh’s thought in enhancing students’ awareness, political steadfastness, and sense of national defense. Applying this thought in teaching national defense and security contributes to improving the effectiveness of political and ideological education in higher education institutions today.
