Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a technology capable of generating content, ideas, designs, and solutions through learning from vast amounts of user data. In research in general, and the social sciences in particular, AI has significantly transformed research methods and approaches. AI has notably enhanced diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and specialized teaching in psychology by providing deeper insights into cognitive processes. This study employs bibliometric analysis to evaluate the development of AI-related research in psychology during the period 2014-2024. An analysis of 420 publications from the ScienceDirect database reveals a substantial increase in studies on AI in psychology in general, and educational psychology in particular, reflecting a growing and in-depth trend of AI application.
