The issues of interviews in general and Vietnamese press interviews in particular have been studied by researchers worldwide and in Vietnam. In this article, based on the literature review in Vietnam, we summarize the main characteristics of press interviews based on 4 criteria. In terms of form, press interviews use direct questions and answers. In terms of context, press interviews use dialogues formatted in text form. In terms of purpose, both the giver and receiver are aimed at the public. In terms of interpersonal relationships, the relationships between the giver and the receiver express through their vocative words and their forms of address.
