Community-based instruction is one of the innovative educational approaches aimed at improving educational quality and contributing to developing a sustainable society. This study evaluates teachers' perceptions and attitudes and the advantages and challenges of implementing community-based instruction at the primary education level. Data were collected through a survey of 152 primary school teachers in Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, using an online questionnaire via Google Forms. The analysis results indicate that most teachers have a correct understanding of and a positive attitude toward this method. They also highly appreciate its feasibility and effectiveness when applied to the Natural and Social Sciences. In particular, teachers recognize the importance of using posters in lessons as a tool to help students systematize knowledge, create a visual learning environment, foster creative thinking, and enhance learning motivation. However, the frequency of implementing this method in Grade 2 Natural and Social Sciences remains low due to various practical challenges. The findings of this study serve as a foundation for proposing measures to support teachers in widely adopting community-based instruction, thereby improving education quality and fostering students' holistic development and community awareness.
