This article examines the current situation of organizing life skills education activities for students at Na Ngoi 1 Ethnic Minority Semi-Boarding Primary School and Na Ngoi 2 Ethnic Minority Semi-Boarding Primary School in Na Ngoi commune, Nghe An province. The study was conducted through a survey of six administrators and seventy-six teachers. The research focuses on evaluating five aspects of organizing life skills education activities, including objectives, content, teaching methods, forms of organization, and assessment practices. The results indicate that the aspects of objectives, content, methods, and forms of organization are generally implemented at a fairly good level, reflecting schools’ attention to life skills education for ethnic minority students through activities suitable to semi-boarding conditions and mountainous contexts. However, limitations remain in the assessment process, particularly in the development and use of specific criteria and assessment tools, which leads to inconsistent effectiveness across different groups of life skills. Based on these findings, the study proposes several measures to improve the effectiveness of organizing life skills education activities for students, thereby contributing to the enhancement of educational quality in ethnic minority semi-boarding primary schools.
