The paper analyzes the structure of dialogues that contain the commentary action in the Ma Van Khang novel. The structure of a commentary dialogue includes dependent action and main action. The main action is an act of comment, and the dependent action is act of the other language and accompanying commentary action. The results show that there are four types of structures: dialogue with only one comment; dialogue with two or more comments; dialogue with one comment as the main action and other accompanying dependent actions; dialogue with two comments as the main action and accompanying dependent actions. Through describing and analyzing the types of structures of dialogue that contain commentary, the paper contributes to highlighting Ma Van Khang's talents in applying language actions in a flexible and versatile manner in order to supplement and clarify the purpose of communication.
