The construction of the rule-of-law state and the context of international integration have set out requirements for the fundamental innovation in Vietnamese higher education sector in general and Law training in particular. Administrative law is a basic and important branch of law in the Vietnamese legal system, regulating social relations arising in the state administrative management activities. Using the qualitative legal analytical and synthetic methodologies, this study aims to firstly evaluate the current situation of Administrative Law teaching in higher education institutions in terms of the competency-based orientiation, the adaptability to new context, and the subject’s consistency. Some solutions are then proposed to innovate the content and teaching methods of Administrative Law to improve Administrative Law training, contributing to a modern and professional administration in the context of international integration.
