Metaphors in literature contribute greatly to exploit the expressive ability of artistic words and expressing author’s writing style, especially when they are engaged in the semantic organization of artistic attributes. The article examines 205 sentences whose attributes consisting of metaphors, applying analytical, descriptive methods and a number of tactics in linguistics methodology such as statistics - classification, semantic analysis, replacement, omission… The findings suggest that metaphors, especially complementary ones, greatly enrich the artistic value for the attributes. Those attributes have diversified and rich structures, distributed in most of sentence components. At the same time, they perform well the functions of emotion, description and aesthetic. A writer can express his multidimensional worldview in his own way, which partly shapes his writing style.
