In Vietnam, the process of industrialization and modernization has strongly impacted many aspects of the architecture of Vietnamese craft villages in general and the craft villages in Nghe An Province in particular. The paper presents research on the changes in the architectural space of craft villages in Nghe An under the impact of industrialization and modernization. The architectural changes of Kim Chi Flowers-Ornamentals Craft Village are the case of study. The study results reveal that the architectural space of craft villages under the impact of industrialization and modernization has changed in three trends including the disposition of villages along the main road, division of land lots and expansion of villages. In addition, the article makes some suggestions on the architecture of craft villages conformable to urbanization trends.
