In this paper, we focus on defining: 1) the role and significance of the competency-based evaluation of department deans at teacher training colleges/departments; 2) the reality of the competency-based evaluation of department deans at teacher training colleges/departments; 3) the methods of conducting the competency-based evaluation of department deans at teacher training colleges/departments.
