In the integration development of industry 4.0, the reform of general education in our country is now absolutely necessary. We are moving from knowledge and skill transfer based education to competency development based education in all subjects including Math. Math teachers at high schools must also change themselves to adapt to the reform. However, they also face many difficulties. Based on expert interviews, teacher surveys, the paper presents the current difficulties of teachers in exploring and developing practical situations in teaching mathematics at high schools; proposes some measures to solve these difficulties.
