Improving students’ motivation for English language learning has long been attracted much attention from educators in the world. This study was conducted to investigate students’ levels of motivation in English leaning by students of garment technology and fashion design, and then find out the influential factors as well as suggest some solutions to solve the problems. The study implemented the investigation through interviews and questionnaires. It involved 85 students who majored in Garment Technology and Fashion Design at Ha Noi University of Industry. The findings showed that the lecturer was considered as the most influential factor in enhancing student’s motivation. Moreover, their teaching methods were placed at the highest position in the motivation building scale. Lecturers’ enthusiasm was also taken as the most effective solution to improve student’s motivation to learn English.
