A smart university is a modern form of higher education based on applying advanced technology to develop services to improve efficiency and create a creative, practical, sustainable, and responsive working environment that interests stakeholders. The concepts and terminologies of smart, sustainable universities and some current approaches to this model are revealed in this article. The results showed that a smart, sustainable model with 35 indicators is suitable for the context of Vinh University. The findings can be used as a scientific and fundamental background for further research on the implementation situation and the importance of indicators in developing Vinh University into a smart, sustainable university.
