The enhancement of private life factors, the emphasis on blurred details and the fictionalisation of non-historical contents in writing the stories about heroes represented a popular trend of novelisation in the historical novels of the second half of 1986 of which the work of Son Tung. The attraction of “The Green Lotus Bud” also comes from this trend. The author has successfully portrayed the figure of the young Ho Chi Minh from a perspective of daily private life. Without abandoning the routine of epicisation, Son Tung, otherwise, applied the novelising trend in which the fictionalizing details were strengthened and a private life perspective was used to describe the Great Leader, making the image of Ho Chi Minh simpler, more intimate and more attractive for readers.
