Some writers in the “Innovation” generation used the voice of spirit as an artistic object, a creative medium to access the mystery of the human mind - a sacred, mysterious and ambiguous world opposed to the reality human beings’ experience. The writers, namely Nguyễn Quang Thiều, Nguyễn Bình Phương, Mai Văn Phấn, Nguyễn Lương Ngọc, Dương Kiều Minh, Inrasara, etc. are supposed to employ their exploration and narration of the voice of spirit to acquire deeper understandings of the modern man’s spititual life, ideology and internal life as a whole. When it comes to the voice of spirit as a poetic object, it is these same ‘Innovation’ generation writers’ inspiration that made critical contributions to poetry stylistics in terms of word combination, linguistic styles, images and tones, etc.
