Educational cooperation has always played an important role in relations between the Russian Federation and Vietnam since both sides established diplomatic relations. The paper presents educational cooperation between the two countries of the Russian Federation and Vietnam in the period between 2001 and 2015 based on the signing of many agreements on the field of education. In addition to maintaining a traditional relationship, the two countries have also developed cooperation in new areas to enhance educational cooperation to meet the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Beside achievements in educational cooperation, the paper states the potentiality for expanding and developing educational cooperation between the two countries of the Russian Federation and Vietnam.
