Ho Chi Minh's thought on building an all-people national defense is one of the basic contents in his system of views on the Vietnamese revolution; is the result of the process of creative application and development of Marxist-Leninist military views and ideas, inheriting and developing the nation's unique military cultural heritages, selectively absorbing world military elite. Faced with the new requirements of the cause of national construction and defense, that thought of HO CHI MINH should continue to be thoroughly grasped and applied creatively in practice, especially in building a solid all-people national defense, actively contribute to the work of "preserving the country since the country is not in danger", protecting the theoretical foundation of the Party and firmly defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the new situation.
