The article focuses on clarifying changes in urban space in Vinh City in the process of urbanization since the reconstruction and rebuilding of Vinh City were started on May 1, 1974, until Vinh was recognized as a first-class city under the direction of Nghe An Province on September 5, 2008. The research results of the article hopefully make effective contributions to the research of the urbanization process in Vinh City during the last two centuries.
