The “Chinese issue” at the Versailles Conference (1919-1920)

After the end of World War I, the Versailles Conference was held by the victorious nations in order to divide the world and re-establish order and security. In the conference, the “Chinese issue” was discussed and resolved, which had a great influence on Chinese history and international relations. In this paper, the author focuses on the resolution process of the “Chinese issue” at this conference. Especially, the conference hosting countries made their plans, negotiations, bargains, and arrangements to solve the "China issue" for the benefits of powerful countries.Thence, comments on the impact on China and the world was brought up.
