The Korean War (1950-1953) was one of the hot spots of the Cold War. Japan is a neighboring country with North Korea, which has an important strategic position in the Asia-Pacific, also has a special relationship with the United States. For these reasons, it has suffered many impacts from this war. This article will deeply analyze the multi-dimensional impacts of the Korean War on the security, politics, economy of Japan and Japan-US relations in the period 1951-1960. As a result, this article shows that the Korean War was the basis for the US to sign a peace treaty, a bilateral security treaty with Japan. This made the two countries' security and economic relations develop and become more closely linked, clearly change the Japanese economic situation in the early stages and create the basis for Japan to take off in the 1950s.
