Self-study capacity development is an urgent task at high schools in the current stage of educational reform. This article presents the results of planning and organizing project based learning about saturated hydrocarbons (Chemistry 11) according to blended learning model. Empirical data have shown the feasibility and effectiveness of this measure in developing self-study capacity of students at high school.
