Four spirostan glycosides, neohecogenin 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-D-galactopyranoside (1), neohecogenin 3-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-D-galactopyranoside (2), hecogenin 3-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-D-galactopyranoside (3), and terrestrosin E (4), were isolated from methanol extract of the branches and leaves of Tribulus terrestris. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods such as 1H NMR, 13C NMR, HSQC, HMBC, and HR-ESI-MS spectra in comparison with the published data.
